J.J. Redick and Shelden Williams were each preseason All-ACC selections

Greensboro, N.C. - Duke was the unanimous choice to capture the 2005-06 ACC regular season basketball title in voting by the media at the league’s 44th annual Operation Basketball day at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center in Greensboro, N.C.  The Blue Devils received all 87 first place votes en route to being selected as the pre-season favorite for the fifth time in the past six years and 11th time overall. Boston College was picked to finish second, followed by Wake Forest and North Carolina State.

Duke’s J.J. Redick edged out teammate Shelden Williams in balloting for ACC Player of the Year. Redick was named on 45 ballots, while Williams received 33 votes and Boston College’s Craig Smith had four votes. Redick, a 6-4, 190-pound senior out of Roanoke, Va., was a  unanimous first-team All-America selection in 2005 while leading the ACC in scoring (21.8), free throw percentage (.938), 3-point field goals per game (3.7) and minutes played (37.3).

North Carolina’s Tyler Hansbrough was tabbed as the ACC Rookie of the Year. Hansbrough, a 6-9, 235-pound freshman from Poplar Bluff, Mo., out-distanced Duke’s Josh McRoberts by 21 votes (50-to-29).

Redick and Williams head up the five-member pre-season All-ACC team. Also named to the first team were Boston College’s Craig Smith, Miami’s Guillermo Diaz and Wake Forest’s Justin Gray. Redick and Williams earned first-team All-ACC honors a year ago while Smith was a first-team All-Big East selection. Diaz and Gray were second-team All-ACC picks in 2005.

Its that time of year again.... Yet another year to prove that Duke is the best and will always be the best college basketball team in the nation. Heck they could be an NBA team, half thier graduates go onto to play in it anyway.  Last year was a luck year for the pathetic Tarheels. I mean who did they really have to beat to get the championship anyway? Oh well, whats funny is Duke is always favored no matter who they have or what there record was the past year. Coach K is the man. I mean he pretty much is Duke.  Oh well, All I have to say for right now.. is they are a very highly favored number 1. I don't even think they will lose... I mean two all-americans, plus one of the top freshman classes in the league. Oh well, I won't ramble too much , but we all know they are the best..... Nov. 14th is when it all starts for them.. be sure to watch.....

Its been a couple of days. I have been kinda busy. You know with life in general. The whole work thing, registering for school, ect. But My life has been going pretty well, there was one day that was kinda rough, but I made i through and circumstances changed. I played a show friday night at parkview highschool. It was a blast, we just played a praise and worship set, but God was there and it was probably one the best experiences I have had playing praise and worship. I don't know, I don't have much more to say. My life is going smooth. I recently resigned from my youth pastor position. Its kinda wierd, this is the first time in while I haven't been under a leadership position in the church, its kinda nice, but at the same time, its really wierd.Oh well, its now up to school work, and the woman, sound fun eh?  She is still great by the way.

I know you havent left me, but I'm still fighting.

My heart has been struck Lord, It's left my sould crying...

But I know, by your promises, you've prepared a table,

And even in the presence of my enemies, I know....

YOU'RE STILL GOD

I don't understand, why you let this go on so long.

All my questions why, Lord, I leave them all to you...

But I know, by your promises, you prepare a table,

And even in the presence of my enemies, I know...

YOU'RE STILL GOD!!!!

And I'll let nothing come, to sperate and take my love from you,

Cause it's in you is where I rest, and where I hide...

So let your fredom reign in me, Let your freedom reign in me....

YOU'RE STILL GOD!!!!!!!

( thank master's commission)
